The draws for the 2020 European Football Championship qualification matches took place in Dublin’s Convention Centre.   The next major footballing event that awaits us, and the one in which the Icelandic national team will be competing, is the 2020 European Championship, a tournament with a totally revamped formula. The 2020 European Championship will be totally unique, because for the first time ever it will consist of a travelling competition, with no single fixed venue, that will take place from 12 June to 12 July 2020. These are the twelve cities that will be hosting the competition’s matches: Copenhagen, Bucharest, Amsterdam, Dublin, Bilbao, Budapest, Glasgow, Baku, Rome (where the opening match is to be played), Munich, Saint Petersburg and London.   Iceland have been drawn in Group H alongside France, Turkey, Albania, Moldova and Andorra.
